Video Part 2
“Before” and “After” results of our DIY protein treatment using egg whites and our Restorative Hydrating Conditioner($11.99)

(Recap)
What’s a protein treatment? Protein treatments are different from a traditional deep conditioner. Protein can strengthen the hair shaft hardening it from the inside out making it resilient and protecting length but to much to often can create damage. So using a protein treatment every 4-6weeks only is recommended. Apply mixture to hair for up to 20 minutes no more! Letting protein sit on your hair for longer or several hours can make your hair too heavy.. which is not good and can even result in breakage.

Why is a protein treatment needed?
Your hair is made up of a tough protein called keratin.. after repeated styling you weaken this natural source of protein and so it is necessary to reinforce your hair shaft again by adding protein back from what’s been worn down. Think about all that daily blow drying, combing, flat ironing etc... yeah you’re hair needs a hand!

Pro tip: Only do a protein treatment every 4-6weeks no more!! Always add moisture as softener to your mix. This could be our Vegan- Restorative Hydrating conditioner which mixes well and gives your hair great slip.

Protein+Hydrator= perfect healthy balance. Protein used this way is very healthy and encouraged. Sit under heated dryer for 15-20 mins to activate mixture. No dryer? Try wrapping your hair in a heated towel.

Recipe: (video 1 Demo for mixing)

-Apply to freshly shampooed hair
- use 3-6 egg whites (no yolk allowed)amount of egg whites depends on hair length/texture/density)
-1 1/2 cups of Restorative Hydrating Conditioner

Mix mixture together well. I highly recommend using a blender to mix ingredients.

After mixture is smooth and fluffy pour into a clean empty color bottle and begin application from root to tip and work well into hair.

Put hair in a plastic processing cap and Sit under heated dryer/medium heat for 15-20mins. Last 5 mins let hair cool at room temp... this closes the cuticle of the hair.. Rinse hair with lukewarm water and proceed to style!
