The planet and our bodies are polluted by the constant exposure to toxic ingredients in our environment.  While changes are being made for the earth’s atmosphere, there’s another pressing issue prompting us to also consider swapping out our cosmetic products and practices.  Many products today are full of toxic ingredients that have adverse effects.  

The majority of products contain harmful preservatives, sulfates, phthalates, and silicones. This is concerning as we are exposed to these daily.  Take for example the effects of chemical relaxers.  In recent times, chemical hair straighteners from various brands have garnered significant attention due to findings indicating their potential link to uterine cancer and other health issues. It is alarming that many women are unaware of the associated risks and the toxic nature of these products. Moreover, a study has revealed that black women may be particularly affected due to higher usage rates.
